I was thinking as I have want to do when those old "arctic spells" hit us up here in Minnesota during the winter that boy, wouldn't that be awful if the arctic spell NEVER left! Of course, its an irrational, paranoic thought which I easily dismiss. But then, somehow, a Bible verse came to mind: Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." "...heat, and summer...shall not cease"! What a comforting verse. Then, my brother suggested that that verse is also the perfect rebuke to "global warming"! Yes, indeed it is! But, as we conservatives know, this would not be a convincing argument to liberals. First, they would reject Biblical authority in our lives but also, we know that "global warming" is simply the most effective platform they can find today to attack what they really hate: CAPITALISM! Why the "hoi polloi" latch on to an elitist agenda that would really affect their lives (the hoi polloi) for the negative (unlike how the elitists' lives wouldn't affected at all), is a mystery. This is why we conservatives should derisively refer to global warming as "global harming", which is what agreements such as Kyoto would do to the West's economy.
